Almost Wordless Wednesday....

Altho the picture could speak for itself, I just want to say, it was one INTENSE sunrise this morning. Just barely enough light at 7:15 to capture this.
It changed quickly, as it usually does, bringing the promise of another sunny day. We are truly blessed here in my part of the world...Nov. 10th and I awoke to 53 degrees! Our normal high for this time of year is 46! It got up to 69 yesterday, warmer than many of the southern states...strange and amazing. Sounds like it's over though, rain mixed with snow forecast for tonight.

Just couldn't resist playing with some of the orphan blocks I got from Em of Em's Scrapbag. I'm off and running on a new Orphan Train quilt it seems. I seem to steer clear of using much white in my quilts, but it looks like this one will have a balanced amount of it. I'm curious to see what comes next, aren't you?

I'm loving it already. I love white in my quilts. It just seems to make the other colors "pop" out. Can't wait to see how you finish this.

#2 SBS quilt is quilted. Sewing the binding on as soon as I'm off the computer. Hugs

I love sunrise. Sunset is beautiful, but sunrise has promise *s*

Beautiful sunrise! Glad you had the presence of mind to grab your camera.

We've had some warm weather this week, too--and I'm certainly not complaining about it!

Looks like fun and a little like what they are doing at the "Stay At Home Round Robin" (http://sahrobin.blogspot.com/) which when I first saw it I thought was a great orphan block project.

Alex Anderson once said that adding a little white makes a quilt "sparkle" and I'd agree.

You make the best orphan quilts! I have a bin that is filling up with blocks for such a quilt ... one of these years I'll empty it and do something with those blocks.

Started pinning quilt #3 this morning. Hopefully will have it done soon. I've been working like crazy trying to get these done and in the mail by the end of Nov. Hugs

Those sky pics are wonderful. We are into thunderstorm season here, so I hope to capture some 'skies' again.
Your orphan quilt is looking very good!
