This is the container I'm working from right now. My enthusium for the Orange Crush blocks has run the distance, for the time being. Sewing every morning with my coffee is my habit, and I don't want it to feel like "work". When I'm tried of something, I work on something else. It all gets finished, eventually,LOL.
This is what I'm making right now with my 2.5" triangles. I'm sewing 4 HSTs together(in this side by side formation) and adding a 4.5" square. I putter along at my own speed...slow.
I only have two speeds, slow and full stop. Push if you wish, but I'm over here in the slow lane these days, and plan on staying here. This is what the top will look like when the rows get joined up. I'm planning on about a 52" X 68" quilt.

I love the scrapiness of this one--maybe even more since I am cutting thru a pile of roughly the same colored stuff to do some patriotic quilt blocks and quilts.
We just found out that the veteran's home over in the next county is due to open about 4 months earlier than planned. It is going to be hard for three quilt group with some of the same people in one or more of the groups to come up with 180 some quilts. She maybe has 30 at this point? No, I am not doing but 3 but need to get cracking! 60 x 90s
I am also a slow, deliberate worker - but usually very thorough and sometimes finicky. Why rush through what I am doing for pleasure? And why not be thorough when doing chores - so hopefully they need to be done a little less frequently! :) Love the quilt top!
I know the feeling of getting tired of one project, I'm seeing stars at the moment, and am ready to change lanes. I just love your project, and slow or fast, it's going to be a great quilt one day.

I like this one! I've had another half square triangle quilt on my list for quite a while but it keeps getting pushed down.

I know all about the slow lane and 'full stop' speeds. LOL I so admire how you take those pieces and work them together into a warm, cozy quilt. Hope you and Ebby are staying safe during all of these violent storms that are raging across the country these days. Hugs.

Doesn't the floor make a handy design "wall?" The only drawback is the cats all think any bit of fabric I lay down is a rug I've made especially for them. Or maybe they're "editing" my design.
I like you pattern a lot. It's a good one for using up small scraps.
Finn, I absolutely love your attitude. I want to bottle it to pour out into my cup on those days when I'm feeling less than. I love that slow is okay in your world. I'm also inspired by the pattern you're creating with your HST's. You are the mistress of scrap management in my book. (I'd use the floor more too if only it weren't so far away!)
I love what is on your design floor! With 4 dogs in residence, I think I better stick to the wall! I may have to stop making my HSTs into flying geese as I"m loving the look of your blocks!
It is wonderful the way you put bits and pieces together to make such beautiful quilts. The slow lane is where I am at right now, too.

I love this...I have been cutting 2 1/2 inch squares from my scraps...maybe I need to add some half square triangles!
