And all my good wishes, appreciation and gratitude to the working men and women of America, our dedication to labor and creativity have served us well. I hope and pray they will continue to do so. Happy Labor Day America!
And to my parents, who embodied "labor", my Dad, working 2 or more jobs to make ends meet in the 1940's and 50's. And my Mom, who kept it "all together" and working, at home, raising a family.
And with September 1st, another birthday for my darling DD#1, her 44th. Happy Birthday Baby! And a Happy 10th Anniversary on September 1st to her and her adorable hubby, SIL#1 !! Many more years of happiness and joy in your life together. Love you both!
And a Happy Labor Day to the byproduct of my Labor, my five kids. 44, 42, 39, 37 and 35 yrs into their lives of labor and love, family and friends, heartaches and joys, sunlight and shadows. They blend together, into my beloved family, and part of the larger picture and work force of these United States of America. They are each doing their part, as well as teaching children how to stand up and be counted. Bless them all, and you too!

Blessings to you and your family! Everyone should be able to feel the pride of working. Thanks to the workers who give it their all each day...they've had a beautiful holiday here in Iowa.
Lovely and heartfelt sentiments, Finn. I can't help but think of my own father, too. We always went to the Labor Day Picnic when I was up in Alaska and he was so proud to have spent his life as a hard working Alaskan and proud American. My mother worked by his side, building our home, raising 5 kids, and surviving our hard pioneer lifestyle on our little island. Good memories of truly good people.Salt of the earth people..much like your own family.
What a delightful twist on the theme for a Labor Day post. Looks like you done good. :- )
What a nice photo of your kids Finn- I love seeing your family- they look like a fun loving bunch.
Hope you are well and enjoying some time to quilt.
School has begun and life in the classroom is very busy. We stop and take a breath at the end of the day and wonder where all the time went- It seems to have sped by in the blink of an eye.
We are adjusting to our new life as empty nesters. Our son has moved to Charlottetown which is on the other side of Canada- Only about 4000 miles away:O(
He seems to be doing fine and while we miss him we are pleased to see him going back to college.
Warmest regards,
Anna
What a great poster! I think we need to be reminded of it from time to time. A great post to celebrate your family on labor day.
Beautiful family you have there, Finn! So nice to see all their smiling faces. You done good with your labor :)
What a lovely family you have.
Happy September, Dear Finnie! I've been away (imagine that---I NEVER leave home! LOL) for 10 days...sick with a really nasty upper respiratory infection, and haven't checked blogs nor posted on mine in way too long.
You have a beautiful family and I love seeing pictures of them. :) Hope all is well in your world and that you are now setting up house in your new abode (?). Hugs to you and Ms. Ebby.
Great photos of a super family!
Where'd the summer go? Nice photos, Finn. Nice sentiments also!
