Finally....

I'm moved, I'm home(so to speak) and FINALLY....I'm connected to the world again, via WWW. I'm very happy to be all 3!! I'm far from settled, but slowly things begin to take share here. Moving from a quite new small condo into an older duplex takes some getting used to, and much cleverness will be needed to "settle" me in!! A marked lack of closets, and storage space of any sort looms large each morning, but I'll adapt.
Ebony is doing remarkably well, all things considered. She's really 'put off' by the foot traffic past the front of our house, voices so near "her" window world. After 2 weeks here, she has quit running for the bedroom every time she hears someone talking outside. She's lost her convenient 'windows on the world', for the most part, but is learning to use the ones she can access. She's been spooked by the sounds of people living "over" head, but that is growing better also.
As for me, I'm still abit in "limbo" as I search for things, and cope with the multiples that come with a new address and phone number.DD#1 is coming and bringing dinner this evening, a belated Oct. birthday feast, if you will. I am looking forward to seeing her and hearing about her 10 day vacation in Laguna Beach!! I'll be back with some new sewing and quilting pictures as soon as I find the camera cable! LOL....

I'm glad to hear the move went well and that you're settling in.... and I know it will take some time. I've still not found everything from my last move and it's been 10 yrs... *lol*

I had just been thinking about you and wondering how the move was going. So glad to hear you are settling in and Ebony as well. The photo you posted looks so peaceful and serene. Hoping you find all those things you are looking for and get settled quickly. I've been missing your sewing posts, whatever the topic!

Oh Finnie, I'm so glad you're 'back'!! I have missed you and Ebby dreadfully. I hope that there are pluses for you in the new abode that will make up for the minuses. It's a beautiful view that you've posted. Dinner being brought in by DD sounds like a real plus! Hugs to both you and Ebby. :)

Glad to hear that you are starting to settle in. Hopefully it will start to feel more like home when you have found places for everything.

Welcome back my lovely. You've been missed.

Glad to read Miss E is settling in ok, especially after the kitten trauma. Perhaps it's a good thing you moved just after that. New beginnings and new confidence and you'll be able to discover it together. Miss P has been spooked too. Massive cat fight in the barn last week, but she held her own!

Belated happy birthday.

Hugs

Yea! You are back!

I too was thinking of you in the last few days. My suggestion is that you make one small space of serenity at a time. Always nice to have SOME place in the chaos that is tidy.

Please blog more photos of what your new place looks like, and where Ebony can look outside.
I'm working on my small scraps right now, so you can take a break from yours!

Glad you are settling in ok...moving is tough.

Getting unpacked and settled it no easy task. My advice is to just take your time and things will come together. We nearly killed ourselves trying to settle in the east. This time we are taking our time and it is EVER so much more pleasant *s*

Welcome back! I'd been wondering about you and was glad to hear that you're getting settled. Moving is hard...so many details to tend to and so hard to find your stuff!

Glad to hear that you and Ebby have reached your destination. Having moved myself this year, know that the settling in will get done, just takes time. Enjoy your new place!

Love the new header! Do you get much noise from next door? Poor Ebony, she sounds so much like my cocker, Tandi. Any change is bad. BAD, I tell you! lol

It always seems to take forever to get truly settled into a new place. I do not envy you. And poor Ebby, having to adjust to all the new things when she's so easily upset to begin with. Does this move put you closer to family or other resources?

It is so nice to hear that your move went well- Cats have to stake out their new territory so it seems.
I hope you soon will get a chance to quilt and create again. I hope that your new digs bring you much happiness.
Warmest regards,
Anna

So glad you are settled in somewhat. Also glad you are able to post again. Poor Ebony. She will find a good place in her new world soon, and you will too. Darn, where is that camera cable?
