Where to begin....????

Well...apparently we begin WITHOUT pictures this morning! Several attempts and no results...thanks Blogger!
Guess that gives me more time to THINK about what quilt top comes first, AFTER I do a 'search and re-claim' mission in my sewing room. Did I mention that 3 or 4 months worth of stuff has been piled in there? Boxes to sort, stacks of stuff to put away, and then the just general "ditch" items prior to our Christmas gathering, LOL.
Yes, it will take some time I think. I am pretty sure that I can clear a path to the sewing machine itself in short order, 15 minutes max! BUT the rest will take more time and effort.
I'm thinking about a backing for the Orphan block top, 2 or 3 posts before this one. The one with the big HA letters in it...that one should be fun! OR maybe the Happy Frogs , for a 'not quite so well right now' grandson, who's 5. I think that might tickle him *VBS*
Some goal setting is also in order, so here goes...I'm thinking I can get two UFOs finished up and out of here in January. One of the afore mentioned, and probably an older flimsey. I have some "things" that need mailing to blogging friends, and I'm hoping I can get that done also.
A few more boxes unpacked and a bit more clutter out of here.
Now I'll tell you one more thing you don't know about me, LOL....I absolutely LOVE molasses cookies, big soft ones with a sprinkle of sugar on the top...an oldie but goodie! I'll be back with pictures I hope.
P.S. The camera batteries are charging!

One thing at a time and you'll be back in practice in no time, Finn!

Molasses cookies are my absolute favorite too :)

Good luck with your January goals. One stitch at a time, I hope you end up with a quilt or two.

I am so with you on needing to slop my way through the piles in the sewing room!

Today I made a start by consolidating all the plastic bags and WonderUnder-like products into two separate bags. This cleared one shelf. Then my energy ran out. But I'm telling myself that it is an IMPROVEMENT. Little steps, little steps....
P.S. I can't read your second word to "prove I'm not a robot". It's just a dark rectangle to my eyes.

Good luck, Finn. I haven't set any formal goals this year as I just want to sew. If I get something finished, fine. If I don't finish anything, also fine.

I think you just described my sewing room in its natural day-to-day state. LOL After you reclaim yours, could you come and reclaim mine for me??? :) I'm so glad you're back.

Glad to see you back. I, like you, have been on a blogging and quilting hiatus. I hope the new year is good to you. I'm also glad to see the old one go!

It is great to have all that sorting/cleaning done, isn't it? I am having problems with loading pictures today. It is my first attempt in 2013. Does that bode ill for this year?

Good luck Finn! I haven't set any goals for myself this year. Just to get stuff done!

Hi Finn!
You haven't been missing in Blogland as much as me this past year, but I am slowly getting involved with my blogging, and blog visiting again.
I see there has been many changes in your life! A big move! Wow! Sounds like you are settling in well enough, and Ebby. I tried looking up Elmville WI on google maps to see if you live close to my daughter. They are on the outskirts of Thorp.
I too have projects that need finishing, but need to tidy up my sewing room in order to be productive once again. You see, not only had my blogging been mostly forgotten, but my sewing too...
Keep warm!

I'm glad to see you back in blog land. And I hope your grandson is better.

I'm not much of a goal person and found it quite funny when I realized I was setting a goal for myself in the beginning of the year. I was gazing at a box containing orphan blocks and all kinds of half made things (Christmas curtains, purses, table toppers....) and wowing to empty it before the year is over. Hm.. not only empty it, but finish the items.

If you received an e-mail from me earlier today containing a link please delete it. I stupidly opened a toxic link in a mail from a friend today and have become all my contacts worst enemy. I let my virus protection scan my computer and it came up clear so I also changed the password on my yahoo account and hope that is enough.

I am so sorry for the inconvenience.

Hugs, Sunna.

I just set up a sewing room again after 4 years without one. It was fun to re-visit old friends in books and fabrics. Glad to see you are back at it.
