"Spike, where are you ??"..... is heard, as Peaky searches the Land Of Point..trying to find his partner. Machine pieced, hand quilted using perle cotton.

This is very cool looking. Did you do free form blocks for those or how were those made? Very cool.

Ooooh, I like! Red and black are my favorite colors. I've been collecting black/white and red/black prints for several years (like about 10!) Guess after I finish using up my Christmas scraps it'll be time to play with those.

Love the piece, Finn. I was just mentioning to another blogger that what you call utility quilting with Perle cotton is really called Big Stitch. One of our local quilt authors, Linda Potter has a book out on it now called Stitch and Embellish at the same time. She wanted to call it Needle Magic, but AQS changed the title. And I think Billie Lauder also has a book called Big Stitch. See? You could have done a book on it too, with all your wonderful samples! Anyhoo, love the stitching, and the colors, and the variety of shapes and motion!

Morning Finn! This comment is about reading,( though I love to see your quilting too) I enjoyed your comments at knitting kat. Your current reads sound very good and I enjoyed the quote. Its like stepping into an author's shoes for a while, or being inside thier life with them for a bit of time. I love it. Right now I'm reading 'Romance of a Christmas Card' by Kate Douglas Wiggin. Its about a minister and his specially nice wife and thier congregation...I think the story focus' on a young woman helping out her half brother by raising his twins while he is absent for 3 years. Isn't Wiggin an unusual name? Thinking of 'A Foxfire Christmas' written by Eliot Wigginton. Wondor if theres any connection there? Leaving you with a quote from my story..."I should relish a check, I confess; but oh! I should like almost as well a beautiful colored card....and I should be so proud; inside of course not outside! I would cover my halo with my hat so that nobody in the congregation would ever notice it!". The minister laughed.~~ Its sleeting here of all things....I wish it wasn't. My husband has to work in it. Then again, we may lose the electric if it starts to freeze. Well, I hope you have a lovely day..*VBS*

This is really fun! I like the simple graphic design, and how the color choice gives it lots of punch!

Hi Finn,
Glad you got to post on my blog. I hoped the tree would work for everyone. As for the sour dough starter I feed it every 5 days and take a cup out. If I don't want or need to make bread from that cup I either give it to a friend wanting to make bread but doesn't want to feed a starter or I toss it out. It bakes 2 loaves and freezes well. Hubby always has bread to take back on the road with him when he comes in and my friends love it too.
