Saying Good Morning to all my blogger friends today with this orphan block from long ago. It's a "single" I picked up in some antique shop or another. This one got quilted and bound and appears here or there in my home, under a candle or bowl, against a pillow or some such thing. No big deal. I did want to tell you all this morning, that I'm not going to be "around" blogville as much as previously. I love blogging, and use this forum as a jounal of sorts. I've been blogging since July, and over the months I find that as we grow as a group, across the "groups" I spend more and more time reading blogs. I love doing it..but there is MUCH that is not getting done around here..including or especially quilts that need finishing. So I will continue to post, just not every day, and I will continue to read your blogs, but not all of them and not every day. If this causes you to want to not read mine, that's ok..I understand. *VBS* I'll be around...*VBS* Hugs for all, Finn Posted by Picasa

Love the block. What a lucky little guy to find such a nice home.

I'll be here and you'll always have a link from my home to your home. :)

Hugs.

I have been cutting back to my friend. I am having too much computer time so needed to cut it back. I will probably blog every day but have cut back on reading all the blogs everyday to just a few a day so I can get somethings around the old homestead. Hugs my friend.

I understand completely. Just the other day I spent 3 1/2 hours reading blogs and searching for more. I'm not getting as much done as I should either. It'll be great reading you whenever you pop back up. cheers.

Finn, I understand your posting and checking sites time consumption. I use up about 30 to 60 minutes daily to check and respond on sites I like. I will miss your daily posts. I look forward to see all the quilting you accomplish in your new found time. Let us know what you are up to. I love the small pot holder posted today.

I'm also limiting my computer/blog time. I find myself spending way to much time hopping around blogland that could better be spent in front of my sewing machine. I'll check in with you every couple days and look forward to whatever you post, whenever you have a chance.

It IS hard to strike the right balance, isn't it? Aah, wish we all had about six more hours in our days! I'll look forward to visiting with you whenever you can join us!

Makes sense to me Finn. I think we all struggle to find balance, and at some point you ahve to know if you want to blog and read blogs or use that time quilting! There are only so many hours.

The problem I have not reading every day, is feeling like I have to "catch up" when I do get to reading every two or three days... ah well...

I totally understand, Finn. I spend more time reading than sewing. I love your site and will always be reading whatever you have to say whenever you say it :)

I can't believe you would rather spend more time quilting than blogging! Just kidding! Just want you to know that you are my inspiration, just tonight I dragged out an unfinished project and started on it, vowing to finish it (this year). It is a lone star quilt, the star was pieced by my grandmother, had to be at least pre-1950 if not earlier. I inherited the star and made it into a quilttop, added batting and backing, and have been working on quilting it for years now. SO THANKS TO YOU for getting me inspired to finish it finally! I would hate for it to be inherited by MY grandchildren in the UFO state.

Here if you need me, susan

LOL Finn...I love reading blogs every day...and usually do it at night when DH goes to bed. It is fun! But you are right...it is also time consuming! Especially as it continues to grow!

Nice block! And I do understand why you want, spend more time on quilting !! ) and other things. Sometimes a computer can work adicted , and yes I prefere to be adicted to my quiltwork

Isn't it great that we are all so understanding of each other's time! I'm always so torn when I cannot read and post to everyone's...so sorry to say that I'm relieved that others are in the same boat as myself.

Your onesie quilt is adorable. A great little keeper!

And just for those very reasons - me too! I'm just catching up and only have a few minutes, so can only read a select few blogs. Let's face it -- sometimes we just have to turn off the computer in order to get some actual quilting done!

Like that block....

I'm with you on the "less is more" blogging idea.... I only wish that my 3 days without - were more quilt filled.....

I'll be checking in regularly - I love what you blog about.... (simple and satisfying)
