A close up of some of the really great fabric scraps used. I love these 1930's and 40's fabrics...don't you? Posted by Picasa

This is really a classic, both pattern and fabrics! Many years ago, in my earlier life, I attended the Kane Co Flea Market. It was a good one back then!
You and Darilyn have inspired me to hand quilt Tulip Farm.

what a lovely find and a great rescue by you-it will surely look even better once you have quilted it Finn

It's got a bit of everything in there! And her piecing looks SO great! I think it will be lovely when you get to quilt it....

Great find! We went to Kane Co. a few years back. Very interesting. I love the old finds...right now I am tea dyeing some fabric for binding for a 'trip around the world' DH got for me at an auction. It is one inch finished squares, all hand quilted and ready for binding. If I can ever figure out doing pictures, I will post it when done! Thanks for sharing and inspiring.

Oh this quilt does have a lot of wonderful fabrics! And this is one quilt pattern I probably will never attempt!

Yes, I love them too. They are refreshingly fun in that they are so different from what we have today, though today's selections are super too. I have a quilt (I know you're going to be surprised here...*s*) to finish. I've got the other 2 bindings to sew down...I'm cheating and doing them on the machine after all the hand quilting I did to boot. Its called the Ohio Star I think. hugs to you!
