Pieces from someone else's past.....this unquilted top is handpieced, and not quite finished. It's almost a twin, but she didn't get the last outside row completed. I bought it several years ago at the Kane Co, IL flea market. It's very well done in terms of neatness, altho there are a variety of sizes in the pieced arcs. It's condition is fabulous, and I will hand quilt this one. Hope I have enough older muslin to finish the outer edge. If not, I'll have to improvise..*VBG* Posted by Picasa

What a find Finn! I have always wanted a double wedding ring quilt, but I don't want to have to make one myself.

That was a great find. I love the DWR but will probably never make one.

Someone would be so happy to know that their quilt is being finished and cherished!

What a treasure, Finn! And I couldn't think of any better hands to fall in but yours!

Love some of those fabs! Some are really art deco-y. Too fun!

It's so wonderful that you're going to finish the quilt. It is such a treasure. And I bet the perfect fabric will appear just when it's needed.

Hugs and purrs.

Oh, Finn! That's a great find. I've always wanted to make a double wedding ring quilt. I think I will. I like the turquoise pieces and the 30's fabrics and the scrappiness of it all. Wonder what the piecer's life story is...
