And this is one finished 12.5" block. I really, really like the pattern you came up with Linda!! And having done a couple of kids bargellos(from Bonnie's site) I have lots of odds and ends of 2.5" squares to use for this.
love the finished block from being inspired by LJ...way to go Finn! as always, your scrappy approach makes for a very interesting block-lots going on to keep the eye moving and enjoyment level high.
Thanks for posting the directions. I was wondering how it would go together. And look! You used another fabric that I have too. (Bunnies in hats.) Thanks for the inspiration.
Such a pretty block--would make a nice baby quilt. And you get off track almost as much as me! Darn these blogs anyway! Everyone has such neat quilts--keeps us inspired!
Shucks, Ma'am! Just an existing pattern that I tweaked a bit more than the original designers.
It makes no sense to me to sew two plain squares of the same fabric together to make a shaded nine patch. The diagonal flip thing seemed to be working!
Your block turned out very cute--ours did too but we used a lot of your fabric, LOL. I'll post some pictures later. HUGS and thanks again.
Thanks for the pattern! In a fit of organization while I was cutting 2.5" strips for one project, I was also cutting 2.5" squares for another quilt. But partway through the cutting (days worth of cutting) I forgot what I planned on using the squares for. I've been wracking my brain but the idea is totally gone. I'm going to make this now!
That's so funny that I plan on making this quilt (I thought the pattern was called chicklets from quilters news network) after I finished doing my trip around the world using bonnie's pattern! Great minds think alike.
