The backing...flannel as usual, and scrappy, as usual..*VBS* If you look close you can see that I bound the quilt that way also. Joining up odd lengths of 1.5" leftover strips, it just changes colors as it goes. I don't worry about what "falls" against what, or where.

I always seem to make too much binding and I have kept what's left from every quilt that I made. It's all wrapped up in a drawer and one day when I have a big scrap quilt I will sew them all together and use them as is!!
