Hello...I'm back *VBS*

sorry to be missing for a couple of days, but I got a little more "beat up" pain wise at the pain clinic than I expected. Definitely touch sensitive. Now I have a stronger pain reliever, but it makes me very sleepy. Need an MRI before they can diagonsis for certain. That will happen next week...the MRI part.
What I'm sharing today is that scrap of feedsack I mention way back when..the bubbles girl. I think it's absolutely adorable..LOL..and quite funny as well. I can't quite imagine what a farm wife, faced with a feedsack size bag of this would have done with it. Feedsacks were commonly used for almost anything from aprons to pillowcases, blouses to curtains. The farm wives were only limited by the amount of any one prints they had. I've seen so many cute, really neat feedsack prints over the years...but I've never seen another one quite like this one...LOL Of course it will work fine in a quilt, but what else??? Any ideas?? Posted by Picasa

Sorry to hear that you've not been feeling like yourself, Finn. I do hope your next doctor visits go smoothly. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers. Hugs! (((O)))

Love your bubble girl feedsack! I don't know if you use aprons or not...but there are some darling patterns out there these days! I myself love aprons! Or a quilted tea cozy? Hmm. It'll be fun to see what you and others come up with!

Take good care! (Thanks so much for the delightful comments back at my blog!)

Oh my! How shocking! Can you see a farm wife making an apron out of that to greet her grimmy farmer hubby at the end of the day??! Very cute though. Hope they find out what the problem is and how to fix it for good.

Good luck with your MRI. THe feedsack would probably have been quite shocking back in the day. Maybe you could make something shocking like baby doll PJ's or something. Lol.

Sorry they have to "beat you up" befor ethey can fix you up! Hugs that th epills keep you comfy while you get better.

I think that's a little bit riskque (sp)...maybe racy than a farmers wife needs her life to be, huh? Too funny!

Sorry to hear you are back in pain again--hopefully you'll get used to this medicine and it will quite making you so sleepy. I love that feedsack--quite edgy for back then, wasn't it? LOL too cute, do you have plans for it?

Finn, sorry you need the MRI but I hope they can diagnose what you need from it; my vote for the darling feedsack is for Joyce's baby doll PJ idea!

Sorry you haven't been well. That really is a different patterned feed sack.

Don't they know at the pain clinic they are supposed to relieve the pain -- not add to? *s*
I can't imagine what a farm wife might have done with that feedsack. Sure is a fun now, though.
Hope you are feeling some better after a change in pain reliever and they give you a quick and easily fixable diagnosis after your MRI. Hugs, Libby

Finn, big hugs to you. I hope those drugs are working for you.

That feedsack is hilarious! Someone was having some fun. I vote for a kitchen apron.

Hiya Finn! It's nice to be catching up with my favorite bloggers finally! Sorry to hear about your pain and hope you find some relief soon. Love the feedsack. That is just to cute and as some one else mentioned, a bit risque for that time period. I cast my vote for an apron, too.

I'm so sorry to hear how mistreated you were at the pain clinic.*LOL*
I was under the impression that pain clinics were there to relieve you of your pain, not add to it.

I'll be anxiously awaiting the results of your MRI and do hope that it's fixable.

The Bubble girls are cute and if I lived back in the days of the feed sacks, I probably would have made bathroom curtins out of these...or a table cloth for a birthday party.

That is a super cute feedsack! LOL at the bubbles girl. I couldn't imagine what to use that for back in the farming lives. Hmm... you sure would hope they would have had a sense of humor.

Hope the pain dies down soon.

I love that feedsack! I've seen many, many, but never that one before. If I ever do find one, I'm buying it!

I'm opting for making hubbie's drawers out of it. =) But, today, maybe little bags to put bath gifts in - like bubble bath!

Didn't they also use feedsacks for towels, dishcloths and what I grew up calling 'washrags' and stuff?

Maybe it'd be ok if used there... lol

Hate to hear you're hurting... and hope it gets all better soon!

Gosh Finn, I hope you get some relief soon *hugs* I'll have you in my prayers tonite.
That feedsack is super cute ... If it were me way back when ... I think I'd use it for an apron, I love aprons ... but I like the idea of the pj's too ;-)
*hugs*

Finn, dear, I hope you get relief soon. Will be checking often to make sure you're okay, and praying for your comfort.

I like the apron idea. My aunt told me that feedsacks were often used for aprons and sun bonnets. An apron would be adorable hanging on a peg in your kitchen.
