Ebby comes home...! A crazy, crazy day. The kind you aren't expecting...ya. People in and out all day, and then 2 of my 5 offspring arriving and asking "what's for supper"?

And of course that came right in conjuction with my new black cat...*VBS* And she's gorgeous...not a petite gal by any means, but she has a beautiful face and nicely shaped head. Almost has the look of a Siamese in the shape of her head. She's spent the majority of her hours here(so far) under the end table, behind the couch or under the bed. She's the only one who doesn' know what this is "all about". But she did come out to wander around abit and let me pet her and scratch her ears, and I think we are going to be just fine...*VBS*

I am thrilled for you, Finn---new place and all those people around so no wonder she is hiding. Heck, my goofy girls hides from me and she has lived here for 9 years!!

Maybe once she knows this will all be fine she will let you get some pictures of her in her new digs.

I'm so happy you are going to have some companionship! She will be adjusted before you know it. I hope she realizes how very lucky she is to have you for her new "mom". Looking forward to more pictures of the beautiful lady.

I'd love to have a cat again, but I don't think one would mix too well with the dogs. You will be friends once the food bowl comes out a few times.

How lucky Ebby is to come to your house and be your owner !
You know, you never own a cat, it owns you :-)
Oh Finn - every time I look at your big stitch quilting I get a wide smile on my face. I need to finish my Watermelon quilt so I can do some big stitches too. Yours looks sooo good !!

Did you make that quilt just for your new friend? Love the quilt (is it a pattern, my mother would love that!)Enjoy your Ebby, she will be a close companion in no time at all.

Ebby's probably thinking "Holy cow. I thought this chick was retired...she's busier than my other people." ;-) You'll be a cozy pair pretty soon. What do the rest of your children and grands think of your Ebby?

how exciting!! I hope that Ebby and you settle in quickly. have finally caught up and love your story about school, much of which was the same for me! the desks with the pencil tray, the walking to and from school for lunch. those are great memories. also love the Utility quilting will definitely use that on a few that I want to get done. i have started to gravitate to hand work at night and afternoons during recuperation. very calming.

i am back on my feet. working part time but getting home early afternoon to hand quilt and watch "ellen" or Rachel Ray with a cup of tea before DH gets home.

Well, that's a good sign that she came out and let you pet her. Once the flurry of people are gone she will be more relaxed in her new surroundings.
