Broken Promises....you have to wonder about weathermen. I suppose I should be grateful they get it right part of the time. We have NO snow. It did spit
flurries yesterday, and several rain/snow squalls, but not a snowfall. Darn! Well, moving right along then, *VBS*, I did manage to get the churn dash blocks together. Still debating about a border or
not. It's an odd size, coming out at 43" X 51". Decisions, decisions. At least I sewed!
I'm heading up to friend Betsy's. I have an invitation to play in her scrap box..*G* I love Betsy's scraps!!!
And another picture of the demise of Wizard. And the Queen, Ms. Ebby. She sure does look good on that Laura Ingalls quilt, doesn't she? Posted by Picasa

We got a little tiny bit of snow last night but today the wind is howling and it's cold. I don't like wind. It gives me a headache. Best cure is coffee and quilting (if the quilting goes well and there are no mistakes).

Sorry to hear about the lack of snow--what a disappointment.

I am loving Ebony. She is so pretty. I laughed so hard at the story of the wizard and dragon. This pic really illustrates how comfortable she feels with you. How lucky you BOTH are!

those churn dash blocks are GREAT!!!
They look such happy bright blocks..brighten up any day. I know you will come up with something to "finish" this top off. It will be snowing soon enough...let's enjoy a bit more of the autumn.

Sorry to hear about the lack of snow. I'm sure the first snow is much anticipated -- but later on in the winter, you'll be glad it held off *s*
Your blocks look great. Don't worry about the dimension, just like 'quilt police,' the size police don't exist either. And if, by some chance, they do -- Ebby can command the Wizard to cast a spell on them, banishing them from the realm forever.

Ms. Ebby is going to give the okay on all of your quilts. If she won't lay on them then they aren't comfy...she'll be the new judge. *LOL*

I love those fun churn dashes. So bright and happy looking. :-)

Poor, poor Mr. Wizard. But Ebby sure does look happy. :-) You realize of course that now you have a quilt inspector in residence. My Sam has to give his stamp of approval on every quilt I make. Looks like Ebby is taking her new job very seriously. She sure is a beauty.

She sure does! And I love the churn dashes - one of my very most favorite blocks.

How disappointing about the snow! So I don't have to be jealous of your weather - not yet anyway.

Churn dash is beautiful. Your quilts are always so nice. I do get a bit jealous of you gals that live in snow country. I sure do miss it. Someday when I get back to Montana.

You"ll get your snow before you know it. We just got flurries and showers to. Wind was pretty tough. I've got leaves to rake up before the downpour comes. Maybe sunday...
Stay warm...Ebony is beautiful.

What fun colors for your quilt--the sashing around the blocks gives it such a fun twist, elevating it from a simple block to something quite wonderful.

I am loving these kitty pictures! Queen of all she surveys and looking quite at home, faithful wiz at her side.

Love your churn dash quilt! The colors are wonderful! And how fun to go play in Betsy's scraps! How come it is always more fun to play in someone else's scraps than your own! But it always is!

Another "new" girl, love your site, is a laura Ingalls quilt red 9 patches on point or generally just 9 patches? That name can't have reached Australia yet but I love the books. Enjoy your threat of snow-think of us here with an unseasonally dry winter and spring that has already finished off most hay and crops. 36 degrees celcius (around your 100?) 2 weeks into Spring! My poor roses!Keep having fun
