On a rainy Wednesday, there was an old woman who got a new cat. The cat that came was as black as a bat! "No time have I for kittens, or such as that"...just one grown up furry black cat. The cat looked around, but no where did see, any kind of mice, and thought "how can this be?"
"My goal for the day, my purpose to be...I'm meant to catch mice...getting fed for free"
The woman in her hat, sat down for a 'think', "there must be something here, under the sink? She poked and she searched and looked high and low. But nothing was found, except for a bow. "This will never do", she said, "the poor cat needs something before going to bed". So she cooked up a custard, done to a T, & it worked out perfectly for Ebby and she...*VBS*.
The End.

Sounds like Ebby has lucked out in this life! Cats are so cool, I just love my two. Have fun!!!
That is just so cute! Eddy is sure a lucky kitty. Enjoy!
You are somethin' else. Glad you and Ebby are having such a fun time *s*
Wel, aren't you smart? That's so cute!

Well, well, how clever we are! Cute story! Makes me want to go out and get a cat for me. But, daughter & her cat just moved out, and I'm kind of enjoying having the space (and my quilts) to myself.
I love your story! Thanks for sharing your writing talents with us.
Mine would be happier with tuna juice than custard though! Even though it's 'spring water' they prefer that to any other treat. :)
Thats to cute Finn!! Ebby I know is spoiled rotten... just as she should be! So nice for you to have a new furry friend :O).
Such a cute rhyme about you and Ebby!
Did she like the custard?
I love your stories...always putting a smile on my face for the day!
You are so creative, with quilting and with words. Keep us up to date on the adventures of Ebby.
So nice. Love the story. My little Frida came in yesterday with a big wound on her ear. She probably had been fighting with another cat outside. And she felt very very sorry for herself. Needed a lot of hugs from us.
LOL! It's so much fun to come visit here. Never know what you're going to find. *VBG*
Oh Finn, you do have a way with words! So glad you have your new friend to keep you company and share your custard.
Clever poem, I think you are enjoying Ebby entirely too much.....hehe,if such a thing is possible??
Oh that's a fun rhyme Finn! Ebby is certainly a delight for you...as you are to her as well!
You have written a fabulous story! It sounds as though you and Ebby were meant for each other. I am sure the two of you will have many wonderful adventures together in the future!
Finn, you are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!! I LOVE your poem....oh, I want to be like you when I grow up!!! Hugs, dear friend!!
Finn, you do amaze me. Your story is absolutely adorable. Cats, custard and quilts. Sounds like a happy place to me!
Custard sounds WAY better than mice!
My cats love the tissue paper too. Whenever we get a package with tissue, the tissue goes right on the floor. Just threw a ragged piece away that had been sitting out for days. It was the object of many, many games.
Enjoyed your great rhyme!
Finn, I was once told we sometimes receive cats that become cat angels to watch over us, I've been lucky enough to have two, I think you've found yours. Nancy in MT
Ebby brings out the poet in you. That was so cute and I loved that picture.
Oh Finn - you are the best. Love it, love it, love it! I think you have the makings here of another career!
