The North Wind doth blow, and we shall have snow...and fairly soon I think. There was just a trace along the curbs this morning. Temperature holding at 25 degrees. This piece of fabric is the Marcus Brothers red and tea dye fabric I'd love to have a bit more of. It's vintage is early to mid Country Threads patterns and books. It came in blue, green, red and brown...maybe orange, all with black check. Also in all those colors with the tea color. The size of the check measures 1/8" from one red line to the next red line...so it's a small check. If anybody has some, I'm open to buying, swapping or just receiving..*VBS*
And then just a quick snap of the November "stuff" on the coffee table. I love this little rough cut, primative looking squirrel, his acorns and the oak and maple leaves that came with him. It's a hard choice, but I love the acorns the most I think...*VBS*
Picasa wasn't playing nicely at all this a.m., so I scooted over to Blogger pictures and it worked. I still have a few stash pictures to show....soon....*G*

The squirrel is just so sweet - and like you I have a great affinity for acorns.

Dang, I must have taken that jumper to the thrift store drop off on my last scourge of cleaning. I had a whole dress made of this very piece with an apron of compatible fabric. I went looking for the bag of cast offs that I was going to whack up for the cloth and cannot find it. I'll keep looking though as you may still be in luck because that's the very fabric I thought you meant!

WOW! Can you believe I think I had some of that. Hmmm, I wonder if I have any still. Darn I know I have a red liney check that is similiar. I'll have to see if I can find what I had of this. I never thought I would have what you wanted!

just looked up with the Christmas fabrics and may have found a piece a lot like it--mine might look more red than tan but I'll mail it out to you anyway. No swapping though! Not after all the fabric you have sent to me and the Belles.

How does Ebby do with the decorations? Mom's cat always carried off her little decorative cat figurines and pulled apart any flower arrangements she had.

Sorry I can't help you for the fabric, Finn. Hope you'll get what you need....
What a cute squirrel ! (the table runner is very nice, too...)

Hugs & smiles,
NADINE.

I'll check when I get home from work. And if any you get is too red/white, why then, just tea dye it.

Oh Finn, I used to have some of that - in many colors. But I loved it so much I used it all up. Sure wish I had some I could send you. I'll double check when I get home, but I'm almost positive it's all gone.

Love the squirrel - so appropriate for the season!

Your squirrel is really cute. Did you make him? The fall colors look great next to him...

Oh shoot, oh shoot, oh shoot! I had that fabric. Or if not that exact fabric one that looked very similar. YARDS of it! But it would probably have been in the boxes I gave away to my friend, Mary a few weeks ago. Mary is taking a few vacation days but when she comes back next week I'll see if she's given it away yet. She was keeping some of it for herself and sharing the rest with other ladies in her neighborhood.

I'm happy to read that Ebby is starting to settle in. What a joy it is to have a cat (or 5!) to share your life. I have a feeling the two of you were meant to be together.

I checked (pun intended) and I don't have that fabric. I do have a small hunk of a printed red&white gingham type in 1/4" checks. It looks quite old. Like I said, it is printed not woven, so the color does not go all the way through. Want it?

Ohh, I like the thing the squirrel is sitting on, with the leaf shapes. Is that one of your quilts?

Sorry, I don't have that fabric either.
