SUNSHINE FOR NOVEMBER 1st...*VBS* And here we go again...a new month, new goals, miles to go and promises to keep. As promised, a few pictures of my stash for the newer blog readers. This is one corner of my sewing room. The tins hold buttons, pre-cut fabric, etc. On the shelves; a few books, and my lights.
Moving down..below the lights are part of my brown, rust and tea dyed fabrics.
This a storage shelf next to the wooden shelves as you go down one wall. Patterns, cut pieces and thread. Below that is Christmas fabrics. Not all of them, but the ones I'm using at this time.

And one side of the master bedroom closet..black and larger cuts up on the shelf. Then my purples, next shelf blue...and then baby and kids fabrics. Below
that you can't see in this picture. Two shelves of greens.
The other side of the big closet holds large yardages, yellows, oranges, red, pinks and then a shelf of baby flannel.
And since Picasa will only let me put 4 pictures in at a time...there will another posting with the rest(or most) of the fabric. The stuff in totes and boxes I'm not going to drag out and open...but trust me...I really DON'T need to be buying more fabric....LOL. I'm going to take Paula and Linda's advice and post a picture of the fabric I need more of...it would be ok to just use what I have and make whatever size I get, but if you have it and want to swap or send me some...that's fine too *VBS* Posted by Picasa

The voyeur (or should that be voyeuse?) in me just can't resist looking at other people's stash. And other people's always looks so much tidier than mine!

lately I am cramming mine in whereever I can find a spot. Poor Pippi thought she was going to climb onto the baskets on the shelves near the desk the other night-- no way. Snooze and you lose--she had not been up there for months and months so spot is gone, LOL. Off to quilt our nine patch top. Stay out of the garage if you can and rest up those muscles too!

so you have fabric for the 2 am sewing bug that might strike while the quilt shop is closed... at least its arranged almost as neatly as a quilt shop so you can find it :-)

I'm impressed. Sometimes it's a relief not to be able to post more than 4 photos, isn't it?

It all looks so nice and tidy...I'm getting this nagging feeling of guilt...Am I committing stash abuse by allowing it to tumble out onto the floor? Is my excuse that I've just moved or that it is more creative that way just another word for laziness?!

thanks for sharing the photos...I'm dragging myself upstairs and starting folding right after I finish cutting out my next project!

Oooooooh......pretty! :o) I see that you are one smart gal (which, I already knew!) and have quite a bit of background fabrics. Very nice. And those browns? mmmmmmm...it seems to be my favorite color here lately. :o)

I know I read your blog from the very beginning after I discovered it, but I don't remember reading about your stash. Thanks so much for sharing - it's so much fun seeing how others sort and store their fabric. Does it always looks so neat? (I know, people ask me that all the time about mine, but I couldn't resist asking you.)

:-)
