You'll have to look really hard...hopefully the pic will enlarge with a click, but I'm never sure when it will and when it won't.
Here she is, coming up and out of the crock, and you can just make out the red ball in her mouth. Excuse the post Christmas boxes! This was Christmas time of 1995 0r '96.

good luck for your cornea transplant. I hope it goes well for you.
That is the cutest thing I've ever seen. I don't think I've ever seen a cat with a ball in it's mouth.
love your kitty stories. Bloglines has not prompted me to visit you so i was three or four posts behind. HMMM! my kitties are also tv watchers. they, like my blog gals, have added a whole new dimension to life.
what more can a girl ask for?? blog gals, kitties, quilting and of course my DH and DS.
you are right about the weather. it's making me feel out of sorts. wish winter would just get here and then GO AWAY!
Mercy sounds like a lovely cat, but you're right, sometimes life just "gets in the way" and you really have few choices. Ebby is not Mercy, but I'm sure the companionship she provides is a comfort
Mercy, Mercy, Mercy. What a cutie! Fetch cats are not that common, but boy are they fun!! I seem to recall reading that it is a genetic predisposition or something.
What a cutie, Finn. I can just see her jumping into that crock after the ball. Maybe she fancied herself part golden and that's where the fetching came from. Back in high school I had a kitty, Spot, who LOVED water. It was the most fun to watch him play and play in the water. I guess you just never know what fun little things they are going to learn.
Loved your little story about Mercy.
OUr dog Leo is a great fetcher, he wears us out!
I have my grandmother's big crock in my kitchen holding extra rags and dish towels. I love having it.
Finn, these are both such cute and fun cat stories. I am happy you are a blogger and it is always fun to come by and see your blog.
