did this. Oh yes, it was last January...and how many times since...darn! As usual, it always happens on the weekend. Saturday night found me with a sore left eye. Creeping redness and swelling. By Sunday, my face was swollen also. The appearance was that of someone getting a stye...except I don't think people get those much anymore. You know, that little sore place on the eye lid..hurts like the dickens. So I hot packed it, and I cold packed it. I used the drops, both antibotic and steroid. Not much luck. By today there were more to worry about so I called my faithful optm. and went in. I had a blocked gland, which needed lancing..ug! Long and short of it, he froze the eye lid(first time for that and LAST time I hope..big owie!!) and now the job is done. Some of the swelling is gone, but the eye continues to weep. Sure makes life interesting...LOLI haven't done much since Friday, a little sewing and some cleaning up in my sewing room. I have 3 string blocks done, but my camera and Picasa aren't on speaking terms right now..so that will have to wait. I don't have anywhere I have to go for the next couple of days, and hope to catch up some on my reading and comments. Hope all of you are doing enough sewing to make up for my lack...Hugs, Finn

Poor thing, there's nothing worse than eyes. I'm pleased you are still right to read so enjoy the enforced rest and catching up on everyone. LOL Tracey

Oh Finn, I was afraid something like this was happening to you as it has been awhile since we've heard from you. I'm so sorry your eyes continue to give you trouble. At least this time it was something that could be solved, however painfully. Sending lots of positive healing thoughts your way this morning.
OWWW! ((((MEGA-HUGS))) to you! Take it easy and rest your eyes. I'm taking an ice day off today so if we don't lose our electricity I'll dedicate some of my extra sewing time to you today.
Oh Finn - that sounds like a huge OWIE to me. Hope you're feeling better and back to some sewing real soon.

Oh Dear Finn, I do hope you eye(s) continuing to heal -- I know they have been troublesome. Give them a rest by letting all the ideas you have for quilts just swirl around in your head. You'll have a plan all laid out when your eyes are feeling better.
Finn, I have been out of sink with the ice storm and haven't got to be on the computer, now I am and to find you have a eye situation!!!Bless your heart and YIKERS... I do hope this clears up now without futher complication or infection...You sure have a time keeping them on the mend and I know it has to be so very scarey for you...Wish I could come over and help you out some way :O).....

Finn, I am so sorry that you are having trouble again. I think just the description of what the doctor had to do would make anyone's eyes water---yikes! At least you knew what to do to self treat until you could get in to the office to see him. Hope that things turn around soon to give you relief from this setback. HUGS
