the WTIL top I made last year and sent off to Linda J at http://catsnqlts2.blogspot.com/ .
There are quite obvious differences, but I am going to consider it a variation on MY idea...LOL. And a good one!
My intent was to use up a bag of unwanted 2" X 5.5" strips, both dots and crayon colors. They has been cut as lattice for an I Spy quilt. I didn't like the look and went to something else. Since I still had about a yard of the yellow polka dots, it wasn't hard to cut 5.5" squares to set the little strip sets. I was pleased with the outcome, added a border to match one of the strips, and sent it off to Linda. I am NOT an awesome 'quilts' maker, nor am I a designer or one who comes up with creative, original ways to use old patterns. Thank goodness we have Tonya at http://lazygalquilting.blogspot.com/ and Bonnie at http://quiltville.blogspot.com/ to do that for us. Not to mention how often Linda J. takes blocks and finds a wonderful setting for them. And Judy at http://judylaquidara.blogspot.com/ creating new ways with old patterns and using stash..GO JUDY GO! But every once in awhile it's nice to see that something that occurs to me, also occurs to someone else and is marketable..*VBS* Fun, fun, fun....fun *VBS*

You sell yourself short, my friend! You're a wonderful designer. Just look at all those marvelous, scrappy, improvisational quilts you make. They're much more interesting to me that all the stuff you see for sale these days.
I agree with Nancy - you hide your light under a bushel most of the time. You are wonderfully creative, and all your quilts tell us this!
Oh shucks, ma'am for the nice comments you made but I tell you---I always love what you do with your scrap blocks. In fact, I am directing the girls to your blog so they can see your nine patch star blocks. I am suggesting that as a BOM tomorrow! Get that creativity flowing and the scrappier the better! Keep on being the inspiration you are to all of us in bloggerland!
Hey we all have that creative spot in us - isn't it grand when you can take what's in your minds eye and bring it out in fabric *s*
That same quilt was in my email as well and I actually book marked it, I like that material, Tracey
