One more day...24 hours and counting....

I'm better than yesterday(less coughing and sneezing but still 'in' it) but not back to normal yet. But I am excited! Tomorrow is "D" day!! As in DD#1 and DH coming to switch the bedrooms for me. The big bed goes in the smaller room. That will now be my bedroom. Maybe(???) the twin bed coming in the big room, which is MY NEW STUDIO! I'm soooo excited. I have a cutting counter coming any day now, and it will sit on 36" kitchen cabinets. That's the height I need to cut comfortably. Then the organizing can begin in earnest. Shelves, cupboards, rolling carts, what ever I need..*VBS* Hurray!!!
In the meantime I came across these two patterns I had bought years back in Cannon Falls, MN. Both are
fusible web applique, and should go quickly. Especially the door banners as there is no need for softness. I traced off and cut out the autumn one last night. And since it was a kit, I don't even need to dig for scraps unless I want to.
With the snowmen, I think I will do the rectangle one for sure. Looks much more user friendly than the door topper. What usually keeps me from completing little projects like this, is that I obsess over them and worry about getting it to look right. Well, the heck with that. I'm going to pretend I have 'primative' tendencies and just have fun with it...and add my own touches. Both pictures should enlarge if you are curious.

Oh Finn, how exciting for you to get your rooms switched around and have a sewing 'stewdio'! :D Your cutting table/cabinets sounds wonderful...you will really enjoy those. Enjoy! You're definitely on the right track with the 'primative' stuff...just have fun!!! LOL

I am so glad you are starting to feel a little more human considering the EVENT that is happening this weekend. This will be so marvelously wonderful for you! We can hardly wait to see pictures of your new digs! I have to second Libby on her comment - keep thinking "primitive". Many of your scrappy quilts are primitive style piecing so taking the leap to primitive looking appliqué shouldn't be that hard. They are marvelously wonderful patterns (I so love superlatives, don't I!)

Two adorable patterns! Can't wait to see them all "done up". Let us see pix of your new sewing digs too! If Ebby is like my two kitties, she'll be right in the middle of the whole move!

A new studio! Great! That'll be loads of fun. I am beginning to day dream about the same thing... both children have now moved out for(apparently)ever, so I'm debating... should I move my sewing area into a bedroom? It would be fun to start all over again. By the way, I LOVED that quilt shop in Cannon Falls. They closed a while back. Did you know that? Bummer.
