Masked, but friendly....

my beautiful oldest daughter and her adorable husband arrived bright and early Saturday morning...*VBS* Let the moving and transforming begin! I had already move and stacked(and piled) a ton of small things. Quilts and boxes of fabric, books, boxes of odds and ends, rubbermaids and shoe boxes. All the stuff that we quilters can't live without..*S* They made short work of getting the twin bed apart and out into the garage, folding the quilts, etc. DSIL vacuumed where the larger bed would go, and then they began moving that for me. I was happy with just that much, but they stayed and moved a dresser and more of the small clutter. They wanted
to do more. I said "no". The weekend is the only chance they get to do stuff that needs doing at their house and enjoy the beautiful weather. We visited a while and then I sent them on their way with lunch money to stop for a cosy lunch along the way. Home is about an hour from here, and DD's back usually needed a break about half way home. Bless her heart, she's missing the last one or two vertebra at the tailbone end of her spine. Needless to say what gets 'sore'...*VBS* She made off with one of my two sheepskins and intends to use it on the cycle when they ride.
Wish I could tell you I'm completely over the cold and yuk, but it still lingers in my lungs, which keeps me short of breath and coughing. I've gotten a little done, but not nearly as much as I had hoped. Spent part of Sunday and Monday with my friend Jean, small family crisis and she needed a shoulder and a place to lean. I was happy to do it..*VBS* Yesterday I had about a bizillion errands to run, and really hoped I would be finished. Alas, I was thwarted at every turn. Apparently I'm not paying attention to my life, because the Universe keeps tapping me on the shoulder and saying 'a, hemmmmmm...pay attention'. I think I've got it now..hopefully the rest of the week will be more peaceful and go better. Don't you just hate it when life happens while you were making other plans?????? Me too!!!

I figure as long as I can 'roll with the flow' I'm still good. Hope your yuck is completely gone soon.

Your 'masked but friendly's' are wonderful. As is, the moving and transforming! Spring change and spring cleaning are such good things. Now we all just need to grab a broom and sweep all those cold bugs away from you for good! Can't wait til you are all settled with your new arrangments and humming away again with little Ebby at your side!

Yup I really do hate it when life happens while I'm planning to quilt. I'm going crazy with all the conflicting info I'm getting about furnaces and hot water heaters. I think the old ones that just heated were better. Take it easy and move things as you feel up to it. How is Ebby taking the changes? This should keep her awake and moving as she tries to figure it out. Hope you have some sunshine to help your feel better too.

There's a great line in a country song - "If you wanna hear God laugh, tell Him your plans" I get an immediate image of a great jolly chortle, then the lightning strikes.
Your masked helpers are great! Get better soon so you can go play. (((hugs)))

Hope the yuks are moving on!
Life seems to happen no matter what I plan... Somtimes I get to have some plan work out!

I'm envious of your new, bigger studio! You'll have to post pix when it gets all set up.

And I'm glad Ebby is okay. What did the vet say about hiding the food? Dry only - I hope? Not sure I'd want little spoonfuls of wet food under the couch cushions, etc. lol
