Hi guys, Ebby here. Boy, typing is harder than it looks when Mom does it! But as one of the orphans in her life, I wanted to tell you she's got the Orphan Blocks blog set up and some gals
have already found it and commented.

She says she still has more stuff to add, like the challenge outline, and who is playing along. This is open to anyone who is interested in playing with leftover blocks from other projects, or just wants to make blocks from scraps and crumbs(won't work if they are matchy-matchy).
She's even going to tell you the story behind the real Orphan Train of the mid to late 1800. Riding the Orphan Train wasn't a desireable thing to the children who were sent, but some of them found happy homes where people loved them.......just like I did
P.S. Mom has even add a mention of ME on her profile now, I guess I'm here to stay. Purrrrrr

Dear Ebby, Tell your mom that I love her new blog, "Orphan Trains From Finn", and that as a collector of orphans my whole life...cats and people, I can relate with my whole heart. Your mom has such a big heart of her own, that I know you have found the best train stop of your life...and that this train crossing of hers has enriched the lives of all of the rest of us! I am just about ready to start looking at all of those bits and pieces for a little orphan quilt of my own! Thank you for being such a beautiful inspiration and gracing so many lovely pages of your mom's blogs!
I'm so glad you took MS Finn as your personal slave. It's just what she needed. And it seems just what you needed too. :-) There are currently 4 cats who share my ownership although each of them sure wishes they had exclusive rights.
My helper kitties and I look forward to playing along and making our own orphan train quilt.
Oh, I can hardly wait to check out this new blog of yours! I was a bad girl yesterday - spent most all day working on my version of Orphan train - didn't touch either the quilt I need to repair or the quilt waiting on the machine to be basted. When I get going on a new project it's like I'm on a one-way track with my blinders on - I don't want to do anything else! Thanks to Chinese take-out we didn't starve.
Finn - this orphan train sounds like such fun. Right now it feels like my plate is too full to take on something new . . . but you never know - just like in real life, I could end up as the caboose *s*
