Day is done....

...and tonight, just before 9, was spectacular! A thunderstorm passed through earlier today, about 3. It was big enough for me to shut down the computer and turn off the TV. I sat and crocheted. It lasted about an hour, and the sun came out again. A nice coolish day here, none of the promised"week of 90's", they say is coming.
I did my recycling, carried in and set up the guest room bed and worked in the garage. Some sewing, some sorting and a bit of napping..*S* A quiet day, but a good one.
When I went outside to see this glorious sky(off to the east it was) I noticed a couple of other things to share. My little sanctuary in early evening....a rosy glow from the sky and everything fresh from the rain.(The bright pink strip(courtesy of the management) was freshly painted yesterday...again). It's to make sure we see there is a slight variance in height there and don't stumble. They keep it fresh and clear...LOL
The last picture is of my plants and flowers, lined up as I placed them earlier,so the rain could water them instead of me..*VBS* It does a good job, and they like it.
It seems like there is something I am suppose to respond to(here on the blog) but darned if I can remember what it was. Please prompt me if it was for you..*VBS* Sewing pictures tomorrow!

There's just nothing like the clean, fresh look outdoors after a good rain *s* And look how happy all your plants are to have a good refreshing drink *s*

You had a more productive day than I normally have!

Lovely photos of the sunset and your little corner of the world. Wish we'd get a thunderstorm to break the humidity. Doesn't seem to work that way in this part of the world...

What beautiful photos Finn -- and it sounds like a lovely, ordinary day. :0)

Beautiful pictures of the evening sky. Don't you just love summer storms? Since moving to So. Calif., my sister longs to enjoy the thunder bumpers that we have here in Utah.

The light looks so heavenly in the second photo. How I miss the beautiful midwest. Finn, I had a nice email from you (maybe about July 13th?) that I wanted to answer this am, but simply could not find it anywhere. I know it's here. Could you email again directly so I can see what your return email name looks like?? Thanks, Karen
