And I really don't have to search very far...LOL I'd like to make them ALL if I could...*VBS* Regarding the 9 block 9 patch from yesterday, the "staying at 9 blocks" wins by a vote of 15 to 7....It will now get basted and quilted just as it is. Meredith asked what color perle cotton...and I'm thinking ecru. I don't have gray, but I do have a pale pink and a pale blue...opinions? Block size for Sue: 8" finished. So about 3" squares I suppose.
Today another doll quilt from the same 1997 Little Quilts book. And the one I'd like to make next from vintage fabric. I like it the way it is, but we'll see if that works or not. 'Finn things' seem to happy no matter what I was planning.
Second picture...the little triangle quilt on the wall with others, so sweet!
And a reminder, there is a Little Quilts website, and they have many of their older books and patterns for sale. I have 2 of the books, Living with Little Quilts, and Little Quilts all Through the House. In that one, there are patterns for each quilt shown, and great photographs. I own several of their patterns, like this one...keep your eyes open in sale bins and at yard sales.
It's a RED LETTER DAY here...I've finally managed to select, wrap and package up the last of the blog-a-versary prizes!
It was harder than I anticipated, because I wanted to send each of you something that you would like and perhaps find a way to use. If it happens you DON'T like what I send you, feel free to share it with a friend or guild member...there is always someone who loves what we personally might not treasure..*VBS* Big hugs to all, Finn

I would love to come and watch you go about your day. It just looks like fun-I'm gonna call it Finn-fun! The heat's got me....
I had a couple of Little Quilts patterns and books and...gulp, I gave them away a couple of years ago in a demented effort at weeding out stuff. Really sorry about that one!
What a sweet post, Finn. I feel like I have just had a nice cup of coffee & a chat. Love the little quilts too.
I have gotten so into making little quilts now. I have only made two so far but I have several books on them. I can certainly finish them faster than the large ones.
Ohhh and I do believe there may be a few triangle units lying around for you to use. Don't you think?
And Finn, for a truly lovely little triangle quilt, you'll want to visit Caroline at:
knotgarden.blogspot.com
Scroll all the way to the bottom. It's simply adorable.
Lovely little doll quilt, a nice companion for your 9 patch. I think the ecru perle cotton would be perfect for quilting it.
I just love those little quilts, I've just signed on for the new 4 seasons swap-I hate to miss the fun! Tracey
I can see that I'm going to have to go on a shopping excursion . . . these books are just wonderful - each little quilt is so appealing. Finn - you do point me in some fun directions *s*
If you would like to pay me a visit I think you may be pleasently surprised *S*
I just bought some ecru perle cotton today plus two shades of purple..would a shade of purple work? I am happy to send some along..I bought it with no quilt in mind :-)
I have always loved the Little Quilts books, and that doll quilt is super cute.
*hugs*
