Darn those gloomy Mondays....

Guess I'll have to create some color and warmth inside today. We did have a very nice, mild sunny weekend *VBS* I think everyone enjoyed that! I'm a bit under the weather, myself, having caught a cold last week, probably in the Drs office!. Most of it has move on already, but the cough lingers. I didn't get much done over the weekend. I attempted to assemble the sandwich for the lime green w/bows top, but the backing I made was short when I laid them out. Soooo back to the drawing board on that one. I had a backing ready for the small blue bow ties top, and also a piece of batting that fit! And I managed to get it tied. Company for dinner yesterday, and that is just about all I managed to get done. The cold has reduced my energy level drastically!! I finally took pics of the new fabric purchases from last week *VBS*  A nice 5 yard length of Red Buggy flannel to back a Christmas present quilt.
And a couple of pieces, 1 yard each, "I can't go home without them" fabrics. For my stash.
A neat yellow Mary Engelbritt for background and map fabric for a "cars" quilt for one of the DGS's.
And last but not least, this adorable Pink Panther flannel for a Christmas pillowcase gift.

What fun fabrics that have found a new home at Finn's place *s* That dragon is darling and, of course, I love the Route 66 piece. Hope your are back to yourself real soon.

sorry to hear you're under the weather. Hopefully your energy comes back quickly.

I love the little dragon fabric -- will have to hunt for some around here as I'd like a couple of dragons to applique in the sky around a castle I'm constructing....

I love your fabrics. Our son just loved the Pink Panther when he was young, & still has his giant "Pinky", as he christened the soft toy.

Thankyou so much for the shoulder for support recently Finnxx

Lovely fabric! Hope that cold moves out very soon.
I would also like to tell you that I have completed a finish for the challenge. Glad this one is off the to-do list even if it is a rather small finish.

Glad to hear you are starting to feel better after your cold. I can sure relate - mine has knocked me out for two weeks now. I never had much of a cough - now all that remains is a terribly tiredness and desire to sleep, plus some sinus congestion. Sure cuts into our quilting energy, doesn't it!

I finally posted my first finishes for your challenge. I counted in the most fair way I could - that is in the way that made the most sense to me. What's really funny is that I never pictured any of these as being part of this challenge! That makes it all the better that they are finished. Especially the two stitchery projects - for the first time ever I can now say that I don't have a single unfinished stitchery project in the house. (I'm not counting ones that aren't started yet LOL!)

Fresh squeezed orange juice to drown those nasty germs. Take 2 aspirin and call somebody in the morning. Maybe get in touch with our buddy Vicks' (vapor rub) too. Oh and chicken soup. Lipton regular makes a fine one - not the cup-a-soup - the one that's been around for ages. Let's see, what else, bundle up in a warm quilt and watch I Love Lucy reruns. That should cinch it! Feel better soon.

Hope you're feeling better soon! I hate those ones that just hang on and will not leave.
I finished one of my UFO's and trying not to start any more before I finish the challenge.....
