The Doldrums....

It's cold. I'm cold. It's snowy. It's the last day of January. February doesn't look any better except its shorter! I have the blaaaaahs. My toes are froze, my nose is drippy. I need a new Energizer type battery for my get-up-and go, which has got up and gone, apparently. I'm cutting scraps. I'm sewing 2.5" strips. I have no new pictures to show you...I've become boring! Even naps have no appeal, maybe it's cabin fever? Maybe it's income tax time!! Yuk.

oh, Finn! You poor thing. I wish I could say something that would cheer you up. Tomorrow is Super Bowl Sunday. Does that help? I don't know if you are a football fan or not. I love the superbowl. Only thing bad is that it is the end of the season! As you can tell, I love football. Feel better soon! Drag out your *vbs* and have a better day tomorrow...TTFN..Lilly

Sorry to read you are experiencing the down side of life...I suppose this weather is the primary reason. I am so ready for some green growing - even if it is a weed.

Perhaps by Monday you will be up and chipper once more.

I'm so sorry to hear you're having a down time. Spring is just around the corner, honest. Can't wait to see some of your new pictures, I know it'll happen.
~hugs~

I hope your weather up that way perks up soon! I know how depressing those long stretches of winter can be. In fact, I even put a countdown till first day of Spring on my blog!!!! Sunshine helps everything. Hang in there.

Ah Finn- I feel your pain.
If it doesn't stop with the snow and ice soon ,...
The snow melts during the day and freezes into a sheet of ice at night. Pretty hard to do with a gravel driveway :(
Cats fight to lay in front of the heat vents...sewing and embroidery machines working overtime since I had to take 2 days off this week from my project.
I'll blog about it later, I need to restart the embroidery machine.
Hugs to you and pats for Ebby. Hang in there spring is coming or I know a ground hog that's gonna be in trouble Monday *wink*

How I wish I could send you some of our warm sunshine . . . I'd like to have a day or two to play in the snow *s*
Like you, I've been playing in the 2.5" bin this week - can't wait to see what you've stitched up.
Hang in there, spring will be here soon.

Cabin Fever is my diagnosis! Takes one to know one who has it. Grab your coat and head out to your LQS, chat up anyone and everyone who comes through their door, you'll feel better. They might too!

I'm ready for spring, too!! For now, I'll get by with some hot chocolate and wool socks!

Ohhh Finn, go and give Ebby a hug, if not just a good squeeze!!(joke)
Don't mention income tax time!! Think spring, think colours and birds chirping outside, the sun is shining, you are smiling...
Hope you get out the 'blues' soon.
Remember your *VBSs*
TLC to you

If it is the tax thing, it works at our house. When he starts the taxes, I go....somewhere! Easier than listening to the rant and rave.

Hope the MOJO comes back, mine is slowly. Figured out that if I stay away from the computer, I accomplish more. Take care dear friend....personally I think you need to move to AZ. What fun!!

Hope cabin fever and chills pass quickly.. Take some rice put it in a sock..Or a bag you make out of scraps... about a pound or two and heat in microwave for 2 and half minutes.. wrap you feet in blanket with your rice sock and warm those toes.. I hope this helps and also makes you laugh.. Keep warm ..

With temperatures well below 0 just about every day in January, frozen pipes and SKY HIGH utility bills squeezing me for every cent, I for one am happy to see February. Our days are now filled with 45 more minutes of daylight. Things are getting better. I am going shack whacky - can't go out for my walks because of the ice... at least with a youngster - I have a grand excuse to at least get out for a bit of sledding. My hands are often freezing at night and my son gives me his neck warmer to use as a muff. Also - when I am sitting and have to put my feet on the floor - I put them on a pillow as the floors are so cold. Try to stay warm! Cheers! Evelyn
