This and that, and sewing...

as the traces of the long winter melt away, the long winter's napping is still in full force.. this is just one of Ebby's many places to catch those cat naps *VBS*
Urged onward by Michele in our Crazy, Scrappy, Strippy Orphans marathon, sewing has been happening. Although this doesn't look like it, it is the primary stage of Pinwheels, Wild and Scrappy. Or.."Mindless Sewing 101".
Several, can't say "many", but several more of these blocks are finished and awaiting their place in an ongoing quilt top.

And last, but not least, this is my newest JellyRoll from my dear friend Julie, of Julie Quilts. She tempted me into participating in the "JellyRoll Sampler" project. I'll try and post a link to the blog for those who haven't seen what we are up to using a jellyroll and a background fabric. I'm a bit behind, but think I can catch up if I apply myself. I have finished one of the first three blocks, and the next one isn't due until the 15th.

I love those pretty scrappy projects! Enjoy the coming spring, Finnie. We are enjoying a new family member, a tiny poodle dog who came to visit...and stayed!

Ebby is doing what cats do best...sleep where they so choose!

I can see where you have been quilting...those scrappy ones are fun...less restrictions!

Have a fun day...get out and go somewhere exciting.

Hugs from me in Oklahoma

can't wait to see the pinwheels! did you get snow today too? I'm kinda tired of it and I would love to nap like the cats (and the dog, and the rabbit).
I'm ready for some nice spring growth.

So glad you're back and getting in some sewing. The spring weather is finally making me feel like getting things done and enjoying some time in the sewing room. Old winter really kicks us around, doesn't it?
Love that cat.

Ebby is just so beautiful!! And just look at all of your scrappy projects---makes me want to go start cutting and sewing! :) I wanted to let you know that I just shared your rag rug instructions with a new, dear dear friend. I pulled out a 6 yd chunk of fabric, showed her how to strip it, gave her a large crochet hook, and helped her get it started. She doesn't have a computer, so she won't be posting, but I thought you would enjoy hearing how your instructions are traveling. :) She's in Upstate New York. Many many hugs to you and Ebby!

Do you ever wonder how come cats sleep so much? They sure seem to have their favorite spots, too. Love your newest project!

I dropped around a few days ago but didn't take the time to tell you so. Glad to see you're back at it again. My scraps have completely sidetracked me from the projects I had planned to work on. Hope you're having as much fun as I am!
