Sliding towards January....

and choosing what I will finish in the early part of 2011. Decisions are really, really hard for me. Apparently that's partly the nature of being a Libra. One thing I've loved about MY challenge is that I could choose to NOT choose which UFOs got finished until I chose to work on them. That's not the case at Myra's challenge. She's coaxing(mostly me)to "step up" and commit to what I'm going to do....darn! Well, I'm getting there. This elderly hand pieced bow tie has been chosen as #3.
And I'm providing a closeup of those lovely feed sack and vintage fabrics for you vintage fabric lovers!
I've also chosen this ancient Birds In Air. It dates all the way back to the late 1980's and early 1990's. It will become a quilt before the end of June, 2011.

Another oldie from the early to mid 2000s, Aunt Gracie's Stars is #5. It's such a simple quilt, I'm not really sure why I haven't finished it. Probably something else(like scraps and orphan blocks) was more interesting! Soooo...Ded. 16th, how are ALL of YOU doing on your goals? Many have met their New Years Eve UFO Countdown Challenge goals...how about you????

You made my heart flutter a bit with that vintage bowtie top. I have a 'thing' for that era. Don't know why. I'm so glad you will be finishing this lovely.

Finn, I adore the stars! What a great use of scraps and a fantastic way to make the good old Friendship Star block POP! You are such an inspiration!!

I've started to set some goals for 2011 however haven't posted about them yet. I have NO UFO's so can't take part. I think I'm a totally different quilter than most. I don't have any old UFO's or even blocks laying around. Oh well, we are all different aren't we. Sent you an e-mail with instructions. Love

So many beautiful options for quilts to work on! Finn, I love the birds in the air, that's the one I'd most like to see you finish! Good luck!

I have another finish, but one that can't be shown yet and am machine quilting another and hope to have it done for Xmas. This year, for me, your challenge has been great.

Love those vintage fabrics .... that will be a gorgeous quilt.

Confession time, eh? :) I have not been working on my crow piece. :( I HAVE BEEN sewing little extras for Christmas gifts. :) So I'm afraid that my UFO will still be a UFO come Jan. 1. But that's okay, I HAVE done SOME work on it, which is better than still being buried in the closet, right? *g*

Lovin' the bow ties. And the nine patches and friendship stars is going to be an awesome quilt. Looking forward to Myra's challenge.

LOL, I haven't sewed anything since I finished my twin to yours Christmas PC on Tuesday. I DID get my sewing room re-organized a bit and finished that up yesterday by going thru my UFO bins and putting them in large storage drawers that I can see thru.

I also semi-finished a quilt design for another scrappy sampler-y Christmas quilt. Conceivably I could get that old chestnut rolling again before years end.

Does any of that count for something, LOL?

I have one more quilt out of the 4 to finish for my challenge and today I"ll be working on that project! If I"m really lucky, I may get a fifth done as well...?
