And almost last, I embroidered his name, the year and my name as quilt maker across the top. It still amazes me how much it thrills kids to see their name incorporated into something.

The name is very special to little kids. And big ones too.
Great idea on putting their name on it. Kids do love it!
What an heirloom this will be. I think it warranted hand quilting for that special little boy. Such memories it must bring back! It's beautiful.
I love that personal touch of putting his name, the years and your name as quilter...It makes for a very lasting memory that warms the heart.
