On those Sunday morning sidewalks....

...isn't it amazing and annoying how one line or stanza of a song gets stuck in your head? I know there is a song to that effect...something about Sunday morning sidewalks and the 'sun coming down on Sunday morning sidewalks'..it eludes me tho...
A morning check on the hummingbird feeder...some food, no hummingbirds as yet...And then it's Ebby's turn to 'check' on things!! And check she does...
And what might THIS be???? Perhaps a cricket? Oh goody, my most favorite prey!!
If I can't get him from there maybe I can get him over here.........hmmmm....looks as if patience is going to be required. OK cricket....I can wait you out...yes, I can, I can, I can.........yawn....well........
Nope, can't rest, gotta watch...gotta watch for the cricket to emerge.......but the sidewalk is getting nice and warm...hmmmmmm...maybe just a bit of a lay down won't hurt...*VBS*

Kitties really do show us the important things in life. Love the belly pic.

Oh, I ment to tell you that my kitty that lived with me for so many years, loved grasshoppers. She even brought them home to train her kittens how and what to hunt. Nice memory.

She is just too darn cute! Chloe acts like a cat at preying (is that a word?) crickets and butterflies and such! She pounces just like a cat! She must have been a cat in another life!

What an adorable post about Mz. Ebby---she is truly such a beauty, Finn, and my heart is always warmed when I think of the two of you sharing your life together. :D

Herding bugs can be exhausting work *s*

I remember that song...Johnny Cash sang it back in the 70s? "Sunday Morning Sidewalk" perhaps is the title? If my memory isn't playing tricks on me.

Always love seeing Ebby!
I have that song, it is Sunday Morning Coming Down, sung by Kris Kristoffesen.

those pictures of Ebby really show how she's come along living with you Finn - hard to recall what a scaredy cat she was when you first got her - obviously fell firmly on her feet when she moved in :o)

It doesn't take much to entertain our furry children, does it? Our Annie, will spend lots of time watching or chasing a bug or fly around the house. They're so much fun to watch.
Love your school picture, too.

I was surprised to see so much white on Ebby's underbelly! And such a pure white too!

What a pretty bikini, and as others have said, she has positively blossomed in your relationship.
It appears the song was recorded by both Cash & Kristofferson and here are the lyrics:

Mine like to eat one leg off a cricket, then sit with paws all tucked in and watch it hop in circles. :)
